While there are existing skills development and training structures in government, such as departments of Basic and Higher Education, there is a need for focused and targeted skills development initiatives that are designed for the SA aerospace sector. The AISI undertakes projects with the specific aim of utilising industry knowledge and technology to improve human capital, and developing skills which are appropriate to industry requirements.
